LEONARDO SUAREZ PAZ’S CUARTETANGO MEETS CRISTIAN ZARATE


Two-time Latin GRAMMY-Award nominated Cuartetango String Quartet and its creator Leonardo Suarez Paz reunite with long-time collaborator, award-winning pianist and arranger Cristian Zarate in an evening featuring original works and new arrangements of Golden Age Tangos.


Violinist Leonardo Suarez Paz, a 4th generation Argentine tango artist and pianist Cristian Zarate are among tango’s main protagonists today.  Their first collaboration was a historic album, Renacimiento del Tango (Polydor, 1995), which featured the stars of of younger and older generations together, demonstrating a hope and promise of future for the genre. They last appeared together in Broadway’s production of Tango Argentino.
